About SVTC

We support economically poor students ,but not students who are academically POOR. Educational scholarship is only given to students who are hardworking, diligent, meticulous, consistent and have a purpose of performance in life. Preference for this offer is for BRAHMINS – Madhwa’s / Smartha’s / Vyshnav’s. We also honour poor students who have secured 90% & above in any Board Exam,with a PRATHIBA PURASKARA AWARD

Objectives of the Trust

  • To establish, maintain, run, develop, improve, extend, grant, donate for and to aid in the establishment, maintenance, improvement and extension of schools, colleges, polytechnics and other educational institutions including vocational training centre’s, research centres and audio-visual educational centre’s and hostels for students pursuing their studies.
  • To give donations to educational institutions.
  • To constitute scholarships to poor and deserving students to enable them to continue their studies and to give grants for fees and other charges or re-imbursement for costs of books, instruments and other educational aids for educational purpose.
  • To help establishments of student’s hostel and to give other assistances for poor and deserving students to find in-expensive living accommodation to enable them to prosecute higher studies.

Main Objects & Activities of the Trust

Education

  1. To establish, maintain, run, develop, improve, extend, grant, donate for and to aid in the establishment, maintenance, improvement and extension of schools, colleges, polytechnics and other educational institutions including vocational training centers, research centers and audio-visual educational centers and hostels for students pursuing their studies.
  2. To give donations to educational institutions.
  3. To constitute scholarships to poor and deserving students to enable them to continue their studies and to give grants for fees and other charges or re- imbursement for costs of books, instruments and other educational aids for educational purpose.
  4. To help establishments of student’s hostel and to give other assistances for poor and deserving students to find in-expensive living accommodation to enable them to prosecute higher studies.
  5. To do all that is necessary and incidental to the purpose of achieving the objects in (i) to (iv) above and any other activities to promote education of adults as well as children.

Sports & Games

  1. To establish, maintain, develop, run, improve, extend, grant, and donate for and to aid in the establishment, maintenance, running, development, improvement and extension of playgrounds, stadium facilities for games and sports both indoors and outdoors, gymnasia and other required facilities for physical training and fitness.
  2. To sponsor, organize, run and assist in the organizing and running of various sports, tournaments, competitions, seminars on sports and related subjects to coaching campus and training programs.
  3. To sponsor and provide grant, medals, prizes etc., to deserving sportsman / sportswomen for specialized training, coaching and for participating in various tournaments or competitions.
  4. To promote sports and games in general.
  5. To do all that is necessary to and incidental to the purpose of objects (i) to (iv) above.

Medical Relief

  1. To establish, maintain, run, develop, improve, extend, grant, donate for and to aid in the establishment, maintenance, running, development, improvement and extension of hospitals, clinics, dispensaries, medical laboratories, research units with special emphasis on medical including Indian system of medicine like Ayurveda and similar institutions affording treatment, cure, rest recuperation and other medical relief to the public including relief to the aged, the physically handicapped and the mentally retarded. The institutions will be run on charitable lines.
  2. To establish, maintain, develop and donate for the establishment, maintenance and development of blood banks.
  3. To organize, run and assist in the organizing and running of free medical camps.
  4. To provide housing, food, clothing, and medical care for the aged.
  5. To do all that is necessary and incidental to the purpose of achieving the objects (i) to (iv) above.

Relief to the poor and needy

  1. To assist and provide for the poor and needy by constructing community halls, rest houses, orphanages, old age homes etc., to conduct feeding of the poor and to give food, clothing and cash grants to the poor, and to grant donations for the support of the inmates of the orphanages, old age homes, rescue and rehabilitation centers and similar institutions. The poor may also be assisted by way of teaching of crafts, engineering, technical and similar skills and industrial training including on the job training etc.,
  2. To provide relief by giving cash grants in times of natural calamities like earthquakes, floods, famines etc.
  3. To provide cash grants to the poor in times of death in their families.
  4. To do all that is necessary and incidental for the purpose of achieving the objects in (i) to (iii) above. Provided that in the advancement or achievement of any of these objects business will be carried on.
  5. To give assistance by way of financial or by kind through distribution of books, notebooks, cloths, uniforms, means etc., for the poor and indigent.

Other objects of General utility

  1. To establish, run and aid free public reading rooms, libraries.
  2. To promote by all means, eradication of social evils, such as dowry, child marriage, unsociability, drinking, smoking, drug abuse etc.
  3. To establish, run and aid meditation lecture halls to which all sections of the public will have access.
  4. To carry out awareness, programmers relating to aids and other diseases.
  5. To start, establish and to run hostels for students of the Institutions run by the Trust and if possible it may accommodate other students.
  6. To render help and assistance to other institutions which are engaged in the activities of similar nature.
  7. To undertake and to do any other work of similar nature aforesaid and to carry out any other work to promote the aforesaid objects. For the sake of clarity it is hereby stated that all the above objectives shall be carried out for the benefit of the public at large, irrespective of the caste, creed, religion and sex. The above activities will be carried out without any profit motive and only nominal charges, if any, will be levied if required. However, surplus if any, arising out of any of the activities of the trust will be re-invested solely for the attainment of objectives of the trust and will not be disbursed, either directly or indirectly for the benefit of the TRUSTEES.
  8. To maintain the guest houses built & donated by the AUTHOR of this TRUST at the following places:

    b) Sonda – Mysore Guest House 2 Rooms
    c) Nanjangud – Mysore Guest House – 1 Room
    d) Tumkur – Sri Byla Anjeneya Temple 1 Room
    e) Tirumala – Sri Vysaraya Mutt 2 Rooms
    All these donations are hereby transferred to this TRUST for further maintaince & upkeep of the GUEST HOUSES as per individual GIFT DEEDS executed by & between the Author of the Trust & Mutt authorities.

  • Since every community has a scope for scholarship to their deserving students, preference is given to Brahmin students. However for outstanding deserving candidates from other communities we have given scholarships and will continue to do so.
